Art by Ann Marie Rhiel 2020

14 Days

by Ann Marie Rhiel

Opened my eyes,

thankful for another day

in isolation

Make coffee,

turn on the news

to see people

not as fortunate as me.

Five o’clock hurry up

Off to the store,

to nothing but empty shelves.

A masked bandit in zombie land.

When I return, I think

Is this it?

14 days,

Have to wait and see

in isolation
