Sinners and Saints

We talk through the crack
Of the locked door and
Find we've a lot in common.
Socialist leanings fostered by
Disdain of a world ran by the rich.
A belief that, despite
The barriers and drawbacks
Emplaced by rules of order,
People possess an innate desire
To aspire to greater things.
That Life is driven by the need
For expression and enlightenment.
We have our differences.
I did my killing in a foreign war,
He did his in a gang fight.
I wear a uniform and
Carry the keys.
He's wrapped in a suicide blanket
With feces smeared on his face.
The psych says he's crazy.
Could be, but,
Taken to the extreme
In an example,
Sinners were made
Same as saints.
Maybe the psych's nuts.

                                    racial purity is just hype bullshit
Disproven by all the various pussy I've tried.
Some of the freethinkin'est people
Are
                                    those dedicated winos hangin' out
Down behind the old train station.
When they get juiced up, they
Spout poignant
                                    words of wisdom 
Mumbled from toothless mouths
Talkin' in riddles like ancient oracles.
"Father bless," I say
                                    to the sanctified priest.
"Fuck off," his reply.
