An $11 Lotto Ticket Retirement Plan
by Richard LeDue
I’ve
foreseen my own death
and know
with certainty it will
happen
eventually,
and the
afterlife might be
a burned-out
light bulb
or ten-feet-tall
angels with a
projector
playing
a movie starring all the
people
I’ve
ever wronged.
If only
the lotto numbers were
so easy
to predict,
then I could quit my
day job
and write
more poems like this.
Richard
LeDue (he/him) lives in Norway House, Manitoba, Canada. He has been published
both online and in print and is the author of numerous books of poetry.
His latest full length book, Another Another, was released from
Alien Buddha Press in May 2025.
Bernice Holtzman’s paintings and collages have appeared in shows at
various venues
in Manhattan, including the Back Fence in Greenwich
Village, the Producer’s
Club, the Black Door Gallery on W. 26th
St., and one other place she can’t remember,
but it was in a basement, and she was
well received. She is the Assistant Art Director
for Yellow Mama.
