Returning Home

Sophia Wiseman-Rose

In the fading light of the Thames, I return

A whisper in the mist

To the heart of London, where time fades

And memories linger in every shadow.

No longer bound by mortal ties,

I wander the streets, a ghostly presence

Among the echoes of centuries past

A silent observer to my city's dance.

The whispers in the wind carry tales

Of lives lived and lost and lovers pining

As I drift through alleys and forgotten lanes,

A spectral figure in the twilight's embrace.

In the depths of darkness, I find solace

Among the monsters and ghosts of lore

For in death, I am reborn and returned home

A part of London forevermore

Sophia Wiseman-Rose is a Paramedic and an Episcopalian nun. Both careers have provided a great deal of exposure to the extremes in life and have provided great inspiration for her.

She is currently spending time with her four lovely grown children and making plans to move back to her home in the UK in the Autumn.

In addition, Sophia had a few poems in the last edition of Black Petals Horror/Science Fiction Magazine
