With Vampires About
Kenneth Vincent Walker
Surely there are
Vampires lurking
About in each
city,
Hamlet or town;
There’s no doubt!
At nightfall
they’ll
Come out to feed.
They seek to suck
The life-force
from
Their victim’s
throat.
For it is blood
they
Crave to sustain
Their breed with a
Viciously graphic
Assault on the
host.
Don’t bother to
run!
No need to hide.
Unfortunately you
Are delectable and
Selected to bleed
Out into the
night.
Kenneth
Vincent Walker is a "New Formalist" poet, spoken word artist,
performer and author of Borderline Absurd (An Exercise
in Rhyme and Reason), published by Poem Sugar Press/
Community Arts Ink 2015. More recently his work has been widely published
in online magazines, journals and blogs. Kenneth is originally from
Buffalo, NY and completed his higher education in Canada. He
now resides in South Central Pennsylvania where he performs his brand of poetry
at various venues throughout the region.
