Venom and Bite
by Jay Sturner
A
spider
slipped into my cocoon
as
I slept, as
I dreamed;
the
mechanics
of transformation
infused
with
symmetry and venom.
More
balance,
more bite—
cannot
wait
to
emerge.

more than 20 years, and has worked as a history teacher, chemist, security guard, and circus

would happily devote every waking hour to reading the Sunday New York Times.
