Casey Renee Kiser

i've spent too long

trying to explain

You

to my nerve endings.

i keep coming up

just short of reason so,

really,

it will never add up;

trying to connect

those fuzzy-fuckery dots-

visions,

blackouts and black veils.

i played too long

on the flaming slide-

devil's

playground, my angels

are through letting it slide.

i'm not apologizing to

You,

but to my common sense

for being the worst

tour guide ever. i wanna

forget

how i'd slide and swing

till sunset and after

hours, but we both know

that

witching hour was all mine.

now i just hang

at the dog park and would

rather

step in shit than see your face

again.
