Scattered
Journey
Grant Woodside
my ghost
trails the ancient
hurricane
discarded bodies
eat burning coals
shadows
search
for bloodied
souls
embracing
darkness
to justify pain
prey with the
dark
shuffling your
days
wandering
within
that legendary
haze
regrets follow
glory
after temporary
nights
bleed slowly
within warm home
lights
when the scattered
journey
began to ascend
shadows snarled,
separated
heaven swore
illusions unstrung
hammering upon a
door
found God
hiding
within a slut's
knee bend
a scarlet
breeze
scented with
despair
silent
something that
doesn't care
searches out the
devout with doubt
