Black-mirrored Hot Pink Tears

Casey Renee Kiser

We’re all shedding hot pink tears,

buckets of neon pain; black-

mirrored shook sky lies so low

Devil shakes the snow globe once

a day, twice to really play God

as we hold tight, our hot pink

tears flow as we decorate

our sadness; fickle filters...

We hold tight yet we scatter

hot pink tears- cold in the know

New day; super glue the black-

mirrored cracks of our sick smiles

C. Renee Kiser's poetry is quirky and armed with bold confessional dynamite. Her humor is satisfyingly dark, confrontational, often abrupt, and always unsettling.
