THE WILD NIGHTS CHANGE

by Bradford Middleton

I used to dream of wild nights

Where I’d be out on the town

& living the kind of life I used

To but now that ain’t for me as

All I need is this . . . this battered

Laptop on which I can scrawl

These words, a cheap bottle of

Something red and a glorious

Baggy of some of the finest inspiration

I’ve been afforded in years & I

Tell you this now, this is my

Wild night & I fucking love it!

Bradford Middleton lives in Brighton, England.  Recent poems have, or will shortly appear, at Dear Booze, Cajun Mutt’s Night Owl Narrative #1, Mad Swirl, Stink Eye Magazine, Beatnik Cowboy, and Fixator Press.  His most recent chapbook, The Whiskey Stings Good Tonight…, came out last year through Alien Buddha Press.

Bernice Holtzman’s paintings and collages have appeared in shows at various venues in Manhattan, including the Back Fence in Greenwich Village, the Producer’s Club, the Black Door Gallery on W. 26th St., and one other place she can’t remember, but it was in a basement, and she was well received. She is the Assistant Art Director for Yellow Mama.
