baptism of blah

you can't stop the tide

only swim against it

until your arms grow weary

and you sink beneath the waves

I've decided to float

without care, without worry

and since I've embraced

this lifestyle of emotional apathy

this baptism of blah

I've never felt so

gloriously indifferent

so monotonously alive
